Jordan Vauvert Dans I II III, Marla Van Horn opère un changement majeur : alors que Anatomy of Pain et For The Lost Ghosts étaient des œuvres en deux dimensions (musicales et photographiques), I II III est autonome, et c'est une première. Ce n'est pas pour autant qu'elle perd en profondeur, au contraire. Les trois pistes sont les étapes d'une longue catabase transcendante mais inquiétante, surtout quand la guitare s'en mêle. Marla Van Horn endosse le rôle d'Eurydice, sa voix incompréhensible sert de guide. Favorite track: I.

On ne frappe pas un homme à terre : c'est ce que dit la règle mais NONE a déjà prouvé qu'il ne les suivait pas et si son album éponyme retirait toute perspective de béatitude spirituelle, Life has gone on long enough, son deuxième opus, nous interdit l'accès au bonheur terrestre. La vie n'a aucune substance et la production plus distante le confirme. Le DSBM s'empare de textures sonores blues, mettant en relief une dépression urbaine. Les cris partent en fumées : ne restent que les pleurs... Jordan Vauvert

On salue à juste titre les albums qui accomplissent un tour de force : le premier album éponyme de Subterranean Disposition en fait cinq — un sur chaque piste, ni plus ni moins. En plus d'un death/doom metal très engageant qui plaira aux amateurs de My Dying Bride, il se démarque par ses excursions avant-gardistes qui s'intègrent parfaitement, tantôt folk, tantôt bruitistes voire jazz ! Et on peut même en rajouter un sixième : cet album est l'œuvre d'une seule personne ! C'est très ambitieux ! Jordan Vauvert
